Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)
- Includes domestic waste(Household waste).
- Commercial waste collected from within an area.
The solid waste generated is in a complex manner Biodegradable and Non biodegradable waste is often mixed and dumped.

Improper & Insufficient Treatment of MSW Leads To:
- High percentage of biodegradable waste dumping without treatment will lead to emmision of gases like methane and also give out foul odour
- Flies , Mosquitoes, Dogs & Vultures are seen in the dumping area.
- Unscientific Management leads to water pollution.
zero Waste Management
- Zero Waste Management is a system of managing solid waste, with maximum recovery through recycling & reuse, aiming at ‘zero’ waste, ensuring NOTHING is disposed onto dump yards and landfills.
- Reuse Use of the segregated solid waste for more than once for the same pupose without any transformation to it.
- Recycle Recycle means process of transforming segregate solidwaste into raw materials for producing new products , which may or may not be similar to the original product.
BACONPRO-SW
- BACONPRO-SW is a consortium of beneficial micro-organisms. All bacteria used in BACONPRO-SW are natural isolates, selected for desirable properties.
- BACONPRO-SW does not contain any genetically modified micro-organisms
- BACONPRO-SW contains naturally derived enzymes and saprophytic bacteria originally derived from soil which utilize only non-living organic matter as a food source. It is a unique combination of mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria, molds and yeasts, consisting different types of microbial cultures, all of which occur naturally in soil, but in very small numbers.
- Efficient sanitization & elimination of foul odour, Mosquitoes and domestic fly’s from garbage.
- Enhances the decomposition process.
- No Skilled labor required.
- Low Operation and maintainance cost.
- Wet waste & Inert waste is segregated at source.
- During Phase I of the composting process, initial heating takes place and readily soluble components are degraded.
- During Phase II, cellulose and hemicelluloses are degraded under high temperature (thermophilic). This is accompanied by the release of water, carbon dioxide, ammonia and heat.
- Finally, during Phase III, curing and stabilization are accompanied by drop in temperatures & increased humification of the material, followed by re-colonization of the compost by mesophilic microorganisms.

A Brief On BACONPRO For Treating Solid Waste
Composting is a natural biological process, carried out under controlled aerobic conditions. In this process, various microorganisms, break down organic matter into simpler substances. This process helps in ELIMNATING foul odor, flies & mosquitoes. Please note, this product will not ERADICATE flies & mosquitoes. The effectiveness of the composting process is dependent upon the environmental conditions present within the composting system i.e. oxygen, temperature, moisture, material disturbance, organic matter and type and activity of microbial populations.
How does Composting work?
During Phase I of the composting process, initial heating takes place and readily soluble components are degraded. During Phase II, cellulose and hemicellulose are degraded under high temperature (thermophilic) conditions. This is accompanied by the release of water, carbon dioxide, ammonia and heat. Finally, during Phase III, curing and stabilization are accompanied by a drop in temperatures and increased humification of the materiaL Recolonization of the compost by mesophilic microorganisms occurs during Phase III.
How important is aeration during the composting?
Aeration replaces oxygen-deficient air in the center of the compost pile with fresh air. Rapid aerobic decomposition occurs only when there is enough oxygen present. Air movement throughout the compost pile is affected by spaces between particles in the compost pile and by moisture content. If the material becomes water saturated, the air movement decreases. Regular mixing or turning of the pile fluffs up the material and increases air movement, enhances aeration and decreases compaction.
Are bacteria present in BACONPRO-SW genetically engineered?
NO. They are not genetically altered in any way. All bacteria used in BACONPRO-SW are natural isolates, selected for desirable properties.
Is BACONPRO-SW safe?
YES, bacteria present in BACONPRO-SW are non-pathogenic (are not a cause of disease) to humans, animals and plants, and considered GRAS(Generally Recognised As Safe)
What is BACONPRO-SW?
BACONPRO-SW contains naturally derived enzymes and saprophytic bacteria originally derived from soil which utilize only non-living organic matter as a food source. It is a unique combination of mesophilic and thermophilic bacteria, molds and yeasts, consisting different types of microbial cultures, all of which occur naturally in soil, but in very small numbers.
How do we begin?
We mix 100 gms of BACONPRO-SW in about 10-15 liters of water & spray it on one tonne of segregated organic solid waste.
